Well. I left Miami last week via LAN and was advised by LAN that I needed a return ticket. This has never happened before and I later learned that the US gov't has advised the Argentine govt to be "stricter" about immigration practices. I have not seen anything official about it but thats the rumor.
So, how does an expat married to an Argentine trying to get said spouse back into the USA survive daily life here? I see many ex-pats who are leading successful lives and wanting to live here. I find Argentina a country of contradictions and yet, its true for most places (USA included).
This blog is not meant to be a political site although when you get two people together there are always politics. I never came here with the intention of staying permanently only to get immigration crap sorted out with my husband. In the process, its been a long one and half years of being here, adjusting to a new culture and a new language. OY! I cannot seem to wrap my mind around this new language, its taking too long and I desperatley need to speak it.
I think thats enough for an introduction.....
